School and early adulthood bring a lot at once: exams, deadlines, friendships, big choices about the future. God cares about all of it. Here are five short prayers for students and young adults, each with a verse from the King James Version.

Before an exam

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." (James 1:5, KJV)

Lord, I've studied as well as I can. Give me a clear mind and a calm heart. Help me remember what I've learned, and give me peace with the result. Amen.

When you feel pressure to be perfect

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13, KJV)

Father, I feel pressure from grades, family and friends. Remind me that my worth comes from you, not my results. Give me strength to do my best and rest in your love. Amen.

When you feel left out

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12, KJV)

God, I feel like I don't fit in. Help me be myself and be an example of kindness. Bring good friends into my life, and help me be one. Amen.

When choosing your path

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV)

Lord, I don't know what to study or what to do next. I trust you more than my own plans. Direct my path, and help me take the next step with faith. Amen.

For a fresh start

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." (Jeremiah 29:11, KJV)

Father, thank you for good plans for my future. Help me let go of past mistakes and step into this season with hope. Amen.
