Summary of Psalms 123
The psalmist lifts his eyes to God, enthroned in the heavens. As servants watch their master's hand, so God's people look to Him until He shows mercy. They ask for mercy, for they have endured much contempt and scorn from the proud.
Key verse
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
