Psalms 131 (KJV)

Contentment comes from resting in God, like a child at peace with its mother.

Summary of Psalms 131

David says his heart is not proud and he does not concern himself with things too great for him. He has calmed and quieted his soul like a weaned child with its mother, content and at rest. He calls Israel to hope in the LORD now and forever.

Key verse

2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
